Privacy Policy

Last updated: June 2, 2026

yTools apps are built to respect your privacy. They do not collect, store, or sell your personal data — there is no analytics, no telemetry, and no tracking of any kind.

The short version: the apps run entirely on your Mac. A paid app only contacts the internet to verify your license, and the only data that leaves your device is the license key you enter.

What the apps access on your Mac

Window-management apps such as Multi Split View use macOS Accessibility permission solely to read the positions of, and move, the windows of your other apps so they can tile them. This happens locally on your Mac and is never transmitted, logged, or shared.

Data we collect

None. We do not collect personal information, usage analytics, crash telemetry, device identifiers, or window/app contents. The apps contain no advertising and no third-party tracking SDKs.

Your settings

Your preferences — layouts, saved layouts, hotkeys, and options — are stored locally on your Mac (in macOS user defaults). They stay on your device and are never uploaded.

Licensing & payments

If you purchase a license, payment is processed by our Merchant of Record, Polar, who handles the transaction, tax, and license-key issuance. We never see or store your payment-card details. To unlock and keep an app activated, it sends your license key (and an anonymous activation identifier for that install) to Polar's servers to validate the purchase. No other information is transmitted. Polar's handling of your purchase data is governed by their own privacy policy.

Children

The apps are general-purpose utilities and are not directed at children, nor do they knowingly collect any information from anyone.

Changes

If this policy changes, we will update this page and revise the date above.
